1/18 Collective Poster Exhibition will open on March 23, 2013, at 8:00 pm, at the Stepenište Gallery, Center for Art Education Šumatovačka, Belgrade. It will remain open form 23 March to 5 April 2013.

1/18 features works of young authors present on the Italian graphic design scene. The title of the exhibition signifies the relationship that the participants develop towards the theme they have been presented with. At the same time it alludes to the topic of the exhibition. The concept of the exhibition is to identify and interpret many possible meanings of the English word “Relation”. The participants were invited to respond to the word “Relation” by designing a poster, while taking into consideration all the closer and more distant meanings that the word implies.

The exhibition is also an opportunity for the Belgrade audiences to get to know a variety of creative backgrounds that the authors come from. The authors completed – or are close to completing – their studies at different faculties for design, among them Politecnico di Milano, IUAV di Venezia, CFP Bauer di Milano, ISIA di Urbino etc. Their different backgrounds aim to contribute to the diversity of approaches and interpretations that the exhibition presents.
